COPAN’s Selective Enrichment Broths in plastic tubes are specifically designed for WASP® automated specimen processors, decreasing manual handling and maximizing automation utilization to bring further efficiencies to specimen management in clinical Microbiology.

COPAN Line of Enrichment Broths

Selenite Broth
- Selective enrichment broth designed for the isolation of Salmonella spp and Shigella spp in rectal and fecal samples
- Compatible with COPAN FecalSwab® or original stool sample

TSB Salt Broth
- Selective enrichment broth consists of Triptic Soy Broth (TSB) with 2.5 % Sodium Chloride (NaCl) for Staphylococcus aureus
- Intended to enrich samples for subculture on selective agar plates

Brain Heart Infusion (BHI) Broth
- Non Selective Enrichment medium for fastidious aerobic bacteria

LIM Broth
- Modified Todd Hewitt Broth intended for the isolation and preservation of Streptococcus agalactiae (Group B Strep)
- Contains antibiotics to inhibit the growth of normal bacterial flora for the selective growth of Streptococcus agalactiae

THIOL Broth
- General purpose medium for cultivation of fastidious and non fastidious bacteria
- Contains growth supplements to enrich many fastidious anaerobic bacteria
- Broth is vacuum sealed in PET tubes to maintain anaerobic conditions prior to first use

GN Broth
- Enrichment medium for Gram-negative bacteria such as Salmonella and Shigella
- Inhibits Gram-positive bacteria
COPAN’s Enrichment Broths are tested and validated for use on WASP®DT Walk-Away Specimen Processors and may be used on other automated processors.
