Image Acquisition Station WASPLab™

Features:

After planting and streaking by WASP®, plates travel by a conveyor to the appropriate incubator as designated by the barcode

Plates can be scanned using image acquisition optics and software at time zero, if specified then loaded into the incubator

WASPLab™ software may be set to conduct multiple plate scans during incubation enabling early detection and reporting of positive growth – chosen protocol determines plate incubation time and number of scans

Each scanned 15MB culture image, is tagged, compressed and stored in the WASP® Central Server

Culture images include a photographic plan view, as well as laser topographic map of the culture plate

After prescribed incubation times, plates are removed individually and scanned for growth

Image analysis software compares before and after growth and can alert lab staff to positive growth results or automatically discard plates without growth
