Sputum Dipper™, exclusive to Copan, allows for easy transfer of sputum samples from specimen container to SLsolution tube. The Sputum Dipper™, Copan’s latest innovation in pre-analytics, will transform the way sputum samples are handled. The ingenious drill-shaped design allows laboratory technologists to easily manipulate and transfer a representative sample of sputum from the sample container to the SLsolution. Sputum samples have a range of viscosities from thin mucus to thick and purulent, which makes it difficult for the technologist to consistently sample. The unique Sputum Dipper™ cuts through all types of samples, collecting the right volume of specimen within the molded spirals of the drill-shaped head, which is then mixed with SLsolution.
