Copan produces three different product lines of multipurpose transport systems for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria: the traditional Amies Agar Gel Transystem, M40 Transystem, and the innovative line of ESwab. Based on independent studies, these product lines comply with the CLSI M40-A Quality Standard at room temperature and a 4°C.

Amies Agar Gel has been the traditional multipurpose transport system of choice for several years. M40 Transystem provided an improved alternative to the original Amies Agar Gel, as it was designed to provide the ultimate performance capability with the most diverse range of fastidious aerobic and anaerobic bacteria including Neisseria gonorrhoeae, using traditional fiber swabs. Until the invention of ESwab, the truly revolutionary multipurpose and multiplatform system that pairs the positive attributes of modified Liquid Amies as a multipurpose medium capable of supporting aerobes, anaerobes and fastidious bacteria, with the revolutionary Flocked Swabs technology for immediate and complete elution of the collected specimen creating 1ml of sample suspension for multiple test capabilities.
